MAKTUB is a professional bellydance company  based in the Costa del Sol (Spain) co-founded by Shazadi Ashaki and Azora.

In April 2010 was founded MAKTUB, bringing to the Costa del Sol a very fresh and dynamic style of dance, making their debut as a group at the opening of the Restaurant Terra Sana in Sotogrande.

Each show takes the audience to a tour through the Middle East enjoying styles from classic bellydance (Raqs Sharqi) to original and innovating fusions (contemporary dance, latin and afro fusions, hip-hop, tahitian, gypsy).

The MAKTUB dance repertoire offers a wide range of possibilities making any event (festivals, private parties, wedding parties, fashion shows, etc). On the other hand, MAKTUB offers also dance workshops, animation, story tellers.

In their shows, people can enjoy the choreographies all made by the unique collaboration of the members of the group in very different bellydancing styles as dance with veils, saidi (cane dance), sword, chandelier, Isis wings, dance with live pythons, ropes or drum solos.
